So I learnt last week that it’s a good idea to prepare your soil around this time of year to give next year’s veggies a good boost and to make them super healthy and delicious. This involves digging up the soil that’s there and enriching it with some good compost. I trundled off to Homebase and returned with a very smart spade and a bag of organic compost. And then it started snowing. And our garden now looks like this:
From what I understand it’s important to do this whole digging thing when the soil is dry, so I’m going to have to wait for this stuff to go – is there anyone out there who knows if that will then be too late? Surely better late than never, no?
